Automotive Quality Management

MexAutomotive is our specialist division in automotive components quality management and supplier improvement. Our Mexican Technical and Quality teams have proven QS9000/TS-16949 experiences in process/ system audits, IPC and Rohs standards. MexControl have worked to GM CS 1 & CS2 standards, DCX and Toyota quality and systems standards and related international automotive standards. Our automotive experience includes work on metal castings, auto electronics, plastics, cable assemblies, and accessories. MexAutomotive has current ongoing problems resolution assignments in Mexico for US Tier1 & Tier2 suppliers. We do PPAQ, source inspection, sorting and containment and rework inside suppliers locations or in our warehouse facility.

Key Elements of Our Automotive Work

MexControl Automotive Non-Conformance Management Unit has trigger teams which speed up immediate correction actions for problematic producers. We identify, evaluate, segregate, sort and contain defects. Other team members are engaged in CAPA activities in line with our Automotive Inspection Management program as determined by the customers. Some are engaged in investigative and preventive actions for problem resolution to reduce cost of line downtime for suppliers and correction of manufacturing problems. MexControl has a strong handle of PPAQ, AQAP and TS 1649.

Sorting and Containment Centers

MexControl announces the establishment of Sorting/Containment/Rework (SCR) Centers in key Mexican automotive manufacturing locations. In Guadalajara, MexControl has opened a new SCR next to Solectron’s main Jalisco for quick transfer of defective components for testing, sorting and rework from its production lines for MexControl teams to executive immediate improvement repair work. Quick retransfer of components are after repair, rework, sorting and separation, kiting and repacking from our SCR Center to the factory.
